Hello, my name is Gail and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Most people know us more commonly as LCSW’s. I am also a Board Certified Diplomat in Clinical Social Work and a Clinically Certified Forensic Counselor.
In my practice, I see individuals from all walks of life, with a variety of problems. Their issues range from stress or depression related to everyday life, to living and dealing with severe mental illnesses such as Schizophrenia or Bipolar Disorder. I also work with individuals who have been court-ordered for treatment.
I have extensive training and experience working with PTSD, and Mood Disorders such as Major Depression and Bipolar Disorder. I have also worked extensively with individuals who have Schizophrenia and Schizoaffective Disorder. In addition, I work with individuals who have problems with drug and alcohol abuse issues in conjunction with a major mental illness. In addition, I work with individuals who have been sexually abused and when appropriate, their families as well.
I work with individuals ranging in age from kindergarten, up to and including, geriatrics. My approach to therapy is cognitive, using techniques to help individuals see their problems in a new and more constructive way. I also use psycho education in my practice. I firmly believe that positive support and a non-judgmental approach is essential to providing psychotherapy.
I am in my office Tuesday through Friday from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Please call 909-989-0901 to schedule an appointment with me. I accept most major insurances and will work with individuals on a sliding scale if they have no insurance.
